What is this "morning" of which you speak?
Dec. 1st, 2004 03:31 pmA few weeks ago, I attended a Watson Lecture on consciousness. They talked about processes called "zombie agents" that bypass conscious thought: breating and blinking, of course, but also the way your hand scales as you reach to pick something up. Apparently Caltech is training me to be able to get up, slide out of bed onto my dresser, which is to the left when I sit on the bed, step down onto my chair, which is quite a bit lower, step down onto the floor, turn off my alarm clock, and go back to sleep, all without ever waking up.
I can't remember when was the last time I ate lunch.
