Haven't you always wanted to do one of those controlled experiments, you know, where you have a pristine, brand new email account, and then you give it to a new person/site each month and see which one brings in the spam? Well, unintentionally, I seem to have found one answer: Amazon.com. Yes, indeed. Possibly not if you sign up with them for something, but apparently if you use one of their "Email this to a friend!" links, you'll be netting that friend a lot of spam, as in, one message a day. I can tell it's only one source that has my email because they all have the same pattern. It those ones that put your email handle at the front, sometimes followed by a bunch of numbers.

*sigh* I trusted you, Amazon. I guess they don't have to make any promises to your friend when it's you that's sending them the email.

Oh yeah.

Saw this book at Borders today. So. Incredibly. Cute.

[Well, the poetry could have used some work, but the pictures were adorable. One of my favorites was this picture of a devil Kitty backlit in flames, with this cheerful little haiku about how "the flames keep me warm like a warm toasty oven" or something like that.]

I would have bought it if they had had a non-dented copy. =/
