It's over! I can semi-retire the tag now! And not be desperately waiting for the new episode every Sunday!

Still absorbing it all, so not much to say, but...

Things I wanted to see at the end:
- what is Schneiser up to?
- Orange x Sayoko?!?!
- more Lloyd and Rakshata. dude.
- so does Xingke have TB or not? why isn't he dead yet?
- LELOUCH ALIVE ;_; [Yay! \o/]

But I guess I'm never satisfied with the "happy days" ending that comes after series with big climaxes. Like Scrapped Princess. Or Harry Potter. I like that Sunrise at least left a few things open-ended enough for me not to be explicitly unhappy about it.

Oh, one thing I want to know is where Nunnally got the theory that Damocles would be the focus of hate. (Also, that whole concept is just dumb, as is well-explicated here.) I certainly never got the impression that that was Schneiser's plan. How convenient that she had the same thoughts as Lelouch. Weak, Sunrise, weak.

I liked that Nunnally was able to resist the Geass for a bit, just like Euphie had, and that they were the only two who ever did.

I really do buy the theories that Lelouch is alive. I do think it makes his whole exit kind of a cop-out, but yeah, he really would not have been a productive member of world negotiations. No one trusted him anymore. Whether he had to bring that upon himself, who knows, but I think everything was consistent with his character. But the stuff about him being R.R. and having a Code because he transferred memories to Nunnally and Orange being okay with it, and all that... I think it adds up. Also, not so much C.C. saying "Lelouch" at the end -- it seemed like a moment when she might address a dead person -- but saying she wasn't alone.

I can live with this, Sunrise. Don't screw it up with another sequel, plzkthx.

Wah, I wanted to know what happened to Sayoko and especially Xing-ke too. Was he caught up in that FLEIJA that Lelouch fired? I do hope not... :'(

Nunnally's theory of focusing hatred on Damocles came out of left field for me. I can't imagine Schneizel giving her that idea, and she always talked of putting the sins on herself - if it was Damocles to be hated, why push the FLEIJA button personally? Anyway, I'm just glad that her truth-telling hands/Lelouch's Geass powers let her see what his real intentions were. It would suck to die so misunderstood.

If he's even dead. ;) Maybe it's the C.C.xLelouch shipper in me speaking, but he promised to her in the World of C that he knew what her real wish was and would make it come true. Given that her Geass was to be loved, that was probably her real wish as well, something that Lelouch couldn't really fulfill if he were dead. The line about "Geass forces you to be alone" not being true just cements that for me.

I should just put up a real post instead of spamming your comments, eh? :D

Xingke was next to Tianzi during the execution procession, so he was still alive at that point. And not coughing up blood, apparently. I wonder if Sunrise just gave up on that. They kept bringing it up every time he flew off on Shenhu but could never quite get him his dramatic coughing-to-death-in-battle scene. 9_9

*whew* Sunrise always makes everything so detailed that I need to rewatch - but I don't have the time. Anyway, I'm glad that Xingke was alive til then. Now I can't help but wonder why he wasn't invited to Ougi and Villetta's wedding.

Midorikawa-sensei himself said he expected Xingke to die but hoped he'd at least get a nice death. I guess "disappearing off the map" counts? XD
