It's over! I can semi-retire the tag now! And not be desperately waiting for the new episode every Sunday!
Still absorbing it all, so not much to say, but...
Things I wanted to see at the end:
- what is Schneiser up to?
- Orange x Sayoko?!?!
- more Lloyd and Rakshata. dude.
- so does Xingke have TB or not? why isn't he dead yet?
- LELOUCH ALIVE ;_; [Yay! \o/]
But I guess I'm never satisfied with the "happy days" ending that comes after series with big climaxes. Like Scrapped Princess. Or Harry Potter. I like that Sunrise at least left a few things open-ended enough for me not to be explicitly unhappy about it.
Oh, one thing I want to know is where Nunnally got the theory that Damocles would be the focus of hate. (Also, that whole concept is just dumb, as is well-explicated here.) I certainly never got the impression that that was Schneiser's plan. How convenient that she had the same thoughts as Lelouch. Weak, Sunrise, weak.
I liked that Nunnally was able to resist the Geass for a bit, just like Euphie had, and that they were the only two who ever did.
I really do buy the theories that Lelouch is alive. I do think it makes his whole exit kind of a cop-out, but yeah, he really would not have been a productive member of world negotiations. No one trusted him anymore. Whether he had to bring that upon himself, who knows, but I think everything was consistent with his character. But the stuff about him being R.R. and having a Code because he transferred memories to Nunnally and Orange being okay with it, and all that... I think it adds up. Also, not so much C.C. saying "Lelouch" at the end -- it seemed like a moment when she might address a dead person -- but saying she wasn't alone.
I can live with this, Sunrise. Don't screw it up with another sequel, plzkthx.
