I don't care about Dumbledore being gay, but how could JKR say that Neville married Hannah?! What about Luna?? :(
[Links stolen from flist: here and here. There are probably stories about it everywhere by now.]
...okay, so I guess I find it hard to imagine Dumbledore loving anyone romantically, and I don't think his relationship with Gindelwald was portrayed properly if that's how JKR saw it. I mean, it was too intellectual and too BFF. Maybe I just read too much BL with idealized romance. :|

Date: 2007-10-20 01:43 pm (UTC)Luna/Neville would've been nice, but in general I'm encouraged by any interhouse marriages, so I'm not heartbroken by Neville/Hannah.

Your Kouyuu icon works just as well for canon WTF?!? as for fanfic. :)

Date: 2007-11-05 08:47 am (UTC)Also interesting is the article's observation that, if you make Dumbledore gay, he starts to resemble the creepy, priest-molesting-little-boys kind of gay. D: (Well, I guess it doesn't add the second part, just says Dumbledore is selfless, sexless, and idealized, but JKR added that second part herself, through Rita Skeeter.)
