Saw RotK again. It was even more beautiful and moving than the first time.
I am in love with Faramir.
Even if he didn't get nearly as much screentime as he should have.
In other news, much dorkiness in movies of late. Like I Robot. Even I don't remember what the 3 Laws are exactly. And The Butterfly Effect will never be more than obscure -- you hear of it, but might not be sure what it is. And then as we were leaving, I saw a poster for a movie called Torque. This amuses me greatly. Apparently it follows in the footsteps of such movies as XXX and The Fast and the Furious; the poster actually looks very cool and somewhat Matrix-y, with the dark grey and the metal and the black sunglasses. But . . . Torque. How many people even know what it means?
[I guess they could mean the other kind of torque. But neither seems to fit very well.]
Then again, this is all coming from someone who's thinking of titling her next never-to-be-finished story project "The Point at Infinity".
Anyways.
I can't wait for the RotK DVD to come out so I can watch it to my heart's content.

Date: 2003-12-22 09:47 pm (UTC)Also: When I first read about "Torque" I thought it was going to prominently figure a metal choker of some kind. I guess I just don't get out enough.

Date: 2003-12-23 11:26 pm (UTC)I like Sam, too. But in the end I fall more for the noble and grand, like Faramir and Aragorn.
