I fail at the internets.
Oct. 9th, 2006 11:51 pmI finally got sick of not being able to click on people's usernames on my friends list, so consider this a placeholder layout until I get around to designing something less broken. It will probably be nagomimakuri themed and based on Expressive. I was going to use
the_lj_reboot's tutorial on Flexible Squares, but Expressive has some of newer stuff that I like, such as the cloud view of tags, comment forms without reloading, etc.
Now, when I'll actually ever get around to doing a layout is another question entirely. Considering I scanned in my nagomimakuri stationery, like, 2 weeks ago and thought I was going to make icons that weekend, which didn't happen...
In other news, this is flyback week for 2L's, which means they have no class, which means profs have more time, which means profs think it's the perfect week for make-up classes, which means I have crim five times this week, including twice on Wednesday. On the bright side, there will be two weeks when I have no class on Friday.
I like how several of my profs staunchly refuse to face the fact that they are, in fact, a day behind and should just push all the reading assignments back a day, too, instead of resolving to "talk faster next time". I'm not blaming them, because I think our behind-ness shows their willingness to slow down and take the time to resolve our confusion about difficult concepts. But, well, reality wins.
Also, my sister got today off. Totally not fair.
ETA: In case it wasn't clear, the green hills layout is a pre-made Expressive scheme. I did not design it, hence why it's a place-holder.

Date: 2006-10-11 02:09 pm (UTC)I think all we get this semester is 2 days for Thanksgiving (plus Labor Day, since we're in school then), much like Caltech. Our torts prof, who teaches our last class on Wednesday, pre-emptively canceled it, though. Wise man.
