Sailor Moon 4.
Nov. 15th, 2003 02:58 pmOveruse of cape-tossing, bad.
I thought Nephrite was cooler than Jadeite at first, but then he ended up doing the scowling and squinting too much, too. And always having red hair, dude. Human form Jadeite is still hot, and he's got the best acting, too.
I like the live action Tuxedo Kamen, too. Much more coolness and less dorkiness. And a nice little fight with Nephrite that was much better than any the girls have been in, although again with the swinging around with capes.
Looks like they're going to do some more character development now, which will be nice. I get the feeling the character interplay will be very different from the anime -- it already is so far -- so it'd be nice to understand them a bit more. It already feels like a different show, although I'm watching it for the sake of the original.

Date: 2003-11-15 03:17 pm (UTC)I guess overall this show is turning my perception of the characters upside-down. I love Mako-chan to pieces while she was my relatively least favorite Senshi in the anime, and Ami frequently makes me want to throw things. ::boggle::

Date: 2003-11-16 12:55 am (UTC)Rei is more like a no-personality wallflower. More of a manga thing, I suppose. Well, at least she's not ditzy.
Mamo-chan gets his spotlight in ep. 7. Go watch, ep. 5 and 6 are already subbed. =P And it's not like you really need the subs to know what's going on anyway.
Hypothesis: Motoki's turtle talks to him and trains him to fight evil. Just reeeaaally slowly.
Still confused about the Zoicite/Kunzite guy...
