Sometimes I really hate Xanga and the fact that so many idiots use it and want to have skins with 2mb of images and music to kill people's connections and they Google "skins" and end up with my site and flood my guestbook and email questions like "can u tell me how 2 put ur skin on my xanga?" It says on the first page that our skins are for Winamp, damnit. >_< And no, we will never expand to Xanga. They're completely unrelated!

*sigh* Why do smart people never ask questions when they need to, and stupid people feel no compunction about bothering people with all their little confusions rather than BOTHER TO READ ANYTHING?

Man, I can't help but sympathize. My sister has gotten sucked into the dark world of Xanga-skinning. Some of those folks have the audacity to call themselves "layout designers," which is probably more appropriate for CAD designers and not people who try to hack Xanga for a free extra module.

I agree it's annoying that people who aren't willing to learn how to maintain their own "prettified" blog layout and yet want one are just going to expect you to deliver one to them for free.

It's not so much that they expect free layouts but that they go looking for them in the wrong places and can't read carefully enough to figure that out.

Actually, the last time, the person actually read far enough to get to the FAQ page and then assumed that posting a skin on a site means having that skin as a layout (from the section where I talk about permission for reposting skins). The lack of basic web knowledge is appalling.
