Like parent like child...
Jan. 1st, 2005 08:12 pmSo the original plans to drive down tonight changed into mooching a ride from one of my friends I went to see today, who's working near UCLA. I guess it'll be nice to stay home another night and get some more sleep, although that means I don't have much time to adjust back to Tech before classes start again.
Anyway, I forgot to mention in talking about Taiwan how interesting it was to see all of my relatives' families, and observe how the children were so much like their parents. In appearance, of course, but each family also had their own personality, their own approach to hospitality, and things like that. They were all very nice and normal and all, but all unique and different, too. I wonder if my family appears that way to outsiders as well.
It was kind of the same way when I visited my friends today, although I guess it becomes less apparent with time, since my friends are all graduated and working now, and not so tied to their parents.
Alright, well, still have to finish packing, since we ended up not only staying for "afternoon tea" but all going out for dinner as well.
