Went to go club, played two games, lost both, but learned a lot, I think. Need to work on how to make successful invasions, and defend against the same. Also to develop intuition for skirmishes.
Nobody likes Arc the Lad, I'm beginning to wonder why I did. It's just kind of blah, like a lot of series I've been trying out, just barely worth watching. Where did my passion for the series go?
I'd forgotten how much Kenshin OVA kicks ass. (The first one of course, not this "purple splotch disease" one that people keep talking about that I haven't seen.) I was kind of lukewarm to it -- I remembered thinking it was awesome, but I'd forgotten exactly why, and I seemed to think that the "peaceful" part was longer and more boring -- but it was beautiful and riveting the entire time. Minus Enishi and the bad CG. It was like falling in love with the series all over again. And the music is just so lovely, and adds so much to the depth and emotion of the series.
Thought: is it just my current mood, or does To the Moon and Back kind of fit Tomoe?
