Thank god midterms are over. I had fewer exams than ever, but their suckiness far overshadowed anything I'd had before. -_- Anyways.

I only noticed on Sunday or so that the correct title is Tsukuyomi, feh. Speaking of which, I've watched up to the third episode, and they seem to be getting better with the out-of-place humor, and it is kind of cute to see Hazuki's moods animated and paired with a voice, so maybe I'll stick with it after all.

Phi-naru Approach is still great, although they've moved away from the whole arranged marriage thing aside from jokes about how Shizuka has all this technology and resources that she won't share. Mmm, onsen episodes.

Need to watch more Bleach and Tactics. Also catch up with last season's stuff like Maria-sama ga Miteru and Melody of Oblivion.

I'm doing better with keeping up with new manga.

Seimaden is another series, like Akuma na Eros, that's just exactly what I want. It's got angsting (winged!) prettyboys, some dark (straight) romance, badass demon lords, and nice fantasy elements. And where I am right now, a crazy beauty-obsessed count is tormenting the lead bishounen. What more could I ask for?

In less, er, fangirly series, I've basically picked up Descendant of the Dynasty and Legend of Nereid, both Korean series by Hwang Mi Ri. I keep telling myself that they're still on probation, but it's been more than a volume and I'm still reading, so. Descendant is about intrigue in ancient Egypt, although it's not too Egyptian, as far as I can tell. It focuses on the daughter of an Egyptian general who is actually the younger sister of the queen of a kingdom that got smushed by said general, but she doesn't know that, and neither does her sister. Can we say "dramatic irony"? Nereid has the same dramatic irony thing going, so I'm guessing the author likes it. In Nereid, we're looking at a girl who a seer randomly picked as supposedly bringing ruin to the royal family, which he did to save his own family and such. So now the girl is off to the capital to tell the guy off, but she ends up traveling as the servant of the guy who was ordered to kill her. Both are the same kind of historical fantasy adventure, with lots of political intrigue.

I'll probably pick up Ryuuroden if I can find the back chapters. It's like Fushigi Yuugi with a shounen twist, except actually set with approximate historical accuracy in the time of the Three Kingdoms. In other words, a guy and a girl get dumped into ancient China, he joins Liu Bei, but she ends up becoming some priestess kind of person for someone else (I'd guess Cao Cao, but I haven't gotten there yet), and now they're mortal enemies. Hey, it's probably better than Harukanaru Toki no Naka de. [That's a new show this season which looks exactly like Fushigi Yuugi and was apparently based on a dating sim for girls.]

I have a feeling you'll be able to find the back chapters...
