elwenBye bye home room. It's been a good . . . three days.
Despite the fact that one of my future co-workers keeps saying how I'll "only" be there for two months, that seems like a frighteningly long time. Far too long, if something goes wrong, to simply ignore it. But I suppose I will think it was far too short when I return.
It's strange, how I think of the distances that separate me from people in terms of travel time. It just seems weird, when I go to bed, to think that just that morning I was standing next to someone, but now I'm five hours drive away. And soon I'll be half a day's flight from anything familiar.
I should probably just stop being a worrywart.
Anyhow, I somewhat doubt I'll be updating this page until I get back. Maybe in LJ had email updating, but alas.
See you all in September.
