First Star Trek and now this? I feel like the Tech Museum has given up on presenting its namesake. Not that these exhibits aren't cool, just getting a bit far afield. =/

We could never compete with Japan's technology museums anyway.

The poor Tech Museum is struggling for its survival right now, so I can't fault it for putting up exhibits that don't quite match its name. (I think they did host a historical exhibit about Leonardo Da Vinci before the Star Trek one, although of course Da Vinci's inventions are bona fide technology.)

I was at the Tech for the Star Trek exhibit a few weeks before it closed, and it was sad - the rest of the museum was practically empty, and only the Star Trek hall had a reasonable number of folks in it, so I can understand why they're hyping the non-technical stuff.
