It was a little iffy, but the install ultimately happened, with many thanks to James and my sister. So now I have internet at home again, yay! Don't know when I'll ever be at home to use it, but, you know.

More notably, I have cable TV now . . . yay? I honestly don't know what to watch. Recommend me some shows. I have DVR, so time is not a problem.

What I really should watch is Glee, but apparently there are no reruns in the next 14 days, so I can't record anything. :(

I did have an exciting thought just now, though: I can DVR the Olympics! Yay! Figure skating, yay! And I'm still deluding myself into thinking that I can finish reading Ginban Kaleidoscope in time. (I have about 1.5 volumes left, but vol. 9 is pretty thick.) I guess my chances of finishing go down if you guys get me hooked on any TV shows . . . ._.

Oooh cable. My top recommendation, if you like crime shows at all, is Lie To Me. It's on after House. If you get BBC, my recommendations are Doctor Who and Merlin, if you haven't seen them. I love Dr Who, though it took a while (and David Tennant). Merlin I liked but not that much after the first season, but last night I saw an episode from the second season and it was great. Better Off Ted is currently popular with my family (it's like Arrested Development, sort of). Don't know if any of these are up your alley, though.

Uhm, hi, new reader here. \(^~^*)\

Personally, I don't really watch many shows beside anime, but Gossip Girl kind of caught my attention? It's pretty decent, worth a try, imo. :)

I haven't read Ginban Kaleidoscope manga, only watched the anime. Did they alter many things in the anime version? :o

Hi! Welcome! :)

Yeah, the only things I watch besides anime are CSI (original), Law & Order (though I haven't touched it for a while), and America's Best Dance Crew, haha.

Oh, I was talking about the Ginban novels, which are the original. I know there's a manga, too, but I think it just follows the anime. The anime covers the first 2 volumes of the novels, and from what I remember it's pretty faithful. It's just that there are 7 more volumes of story that the anime producers never touched -- understandable in this case, but I would have loved to see more anime Tazusa. The last 3 novels get into the Vancouver Olympics, 4 years after the anime, hence my attempt to finish reading them before the real Vancouver Olympics.

I caught up with Glee here: http://www.casttv.com/shows/glee

Their listing isn't complete anymore since they only go comb the internets for uploaded vids, and Megaupload may have gone and busted a few eps. But there's enough to get a general idea.

(Hoping and praying for Hulu's proposal for paid viewing of back eps. :P)

I've become obsessed with crime procedural "Castle" recently. It has Nathan Fillion, among other great things, and in one ep he actually puts on the ol' space cowboy gear. :D
