I want to write a quiz that tells you how (competitive? hardcore? anal?) you are. One of the questions will be:

"Almost" means...
- Eh, good enough. I'd like some sleep tonight.
- Just two more people to take down before I'm number one!
- But that's the best I can do! *sobs*
- This is my chance to surpass all those weaklings.
- Must... get... last... point...
- I love finding that last subtlety. Mmm, challenges.

Other ideas?

Sleep...

- Is for weaklings and lesser beings. Think of all that time wasted doing nothing but breathing and drooling!
- Is a necessary evil
- Is important and should be scheduled for acordingly.
- Don't mind if I do!

The fact that my comment is entirely in bold was completely intentional, and has nothing at all to do with the totally separate fact that I could not code my way out of a virtual paper bag. Thank you. That is all.

Will you have anime pictures and long answers?

Heh, definitely thought about having pictures, but I don't know many characters in anime that are particularly competitive or anal. There are Yukino (like on my avatar) and Souichirou, I guess, but they get better as the series progresses, so it's kind of defeating the point.

I mean, there are plenty of geniuses like Ami-chan and Chiyo-chan, but it's more about attitude, right?

Stick figures may have to suffice. :P

It's just that I have a fondness for quizzes that use anime pictures, especially if they have little to do with the quiz. I also like quizzes that mash anime, LoTR, PoC, and HP into the questions, because I like to tell people how I feel about rum.

However, stick figures are plenty good. And as long as you don't ask, "Are you competitive?", I will be happy.

What does "pass/fail" mean to you?
-I can complete half my sets, and goof off.
-I should try my sets to the best of my ability, but not care that much.
-Homework? I have no homework! I'm on P/F!
-I lost a point on that set! Must work harder... must get that P+...
-Ah, that means I just need to study for eight hours, instead of the sixteen I was planning on.

Your homework/exam was graded incorrectly. You...
-find out who *did* get the points, and make their grades disappear.
-shrug it off. You're already doomed anyway.
-whine to your friends about how the TA's are incompetent, but leave it at that.
-hunt down the TA at his/her office hours/classes/place of residence and demand the point back.
-write a letter to the TAs, the professor, the department head detailing what was wrong with the solution set and demonstrate the validity of your own solution.

"This proof left as an exercise to the reader"
-Reading? What's that?
-Yeah, that looks kinda interesting...
-It's not required, so I'll skip over it.
-Not only do I do all of these, I seek out extras to do in my free time.
