OMFG HE KILLED CORNELIA. I HATE YOU SCHNEISER.
Actually, I hate him anyway. I feel like I should think he's a great villain, and even be attracted to his smoothness and strategery, but no. There's something about it that's just so fake and plastered on. I really just want him to get smacked and stop having everything go his way. Or for Kanon to become awesome and the secret mastermind who then betrays Schneiser and takes over himself. But I think he's really just a wuss. He deserves to be Schneiser's uke. XO And Lloyd deserves better.
So this was the episode where all the cool and potentially cool girls got wiped out in one fell swoop. Cornelia dead, Nunnally no longer capable of lie-detecting, Kallen and the entire Black Knights being dumb and playing into Schneiser's hands... I'm actually rooting for Nina if she can become Lelouch's trump card. (I think I called her as a Gollum-type character somewhere... I think it's a sign that Sunrise is twisting things around too much.) Sayoko may still be alright, except she's been gone for like a month and suddenly appears again. I don't even remember where she was previously. Caught in the Tokyo FLEIA blast? Oh, and Rakshata, to the extent that she is not dead and was not involved in the Black Knights stupidity, may still have some points left, but that's making some pretty big assumptions. Especially the not dead part, but if Ougi's okay, who knows?
Seriously, I'm so bummed about Cornelia. She was so cool when she came back, and then she immediately became a throwaway character again. I kind of hoped her standing up to Schneiser would be more dramatic and . . . uh, useful. And yeah, what was with the random gun turret in a statue that knew who to shoot? I will almost be pacified if, in the next episode, Nunnally asks for Cornelia, Schneiser makes something up about her being busy, and she calls him on it. But what are the chances of that happening?
I noticed Suzaku's new cloak-thing for the first time this episode. Man, that would make an awesome cosplay, but very painful to make.
At least there was some C/Lulu this episode. That was about the only good part.
2 more to go... I have no doubts that it will wrap up one way or another. Whether it is in a way that I like is much less likely.
And Gino? Why are you so dumb?
Last thing: Sunrise? We get the point that you're not going to tell us what Suzaku and Lelouch decided in the World of C and what the Zero Requiem is until the end. Stop rubbing it in our faces just like you did with Charles' Thought Elevator and the Geass cult and Marianne the first season. Just because you finally were forced to show your hand on that one doesn't mean you need to create a new thing to be all "I know more than you do!" about.
