*sigh* It's been a loooong day. And it'll be a looooong weekend, in both the good and bad senses, I fear.
Evil 95 set kept me up all night, such that I was completely zonked out in o-chem. Totally broke my record of not falling asleep and always taking good notes this term in all my classes -- today, I dozed in eveything, although I don't think I ever missed much besides most of o-chem. Apparently I make funny sounds when I'm asleep in class. Not loud or disruptive, but noticable to people sitting next to me. Sometimes I notice I make involuntary groan-like sounds just as I wake up from restless sleep, so maybe it's something like that.
Anyhow, unsuccessfully tried to wake up after a two hour nap in the evening to watch Hunter x Hunter. That show continues to amaze me with how much I can miss and still follow along from context. Someday I will fill in the holes, hopefully.
RahXephon is okay thus far. As far as I understand either show, it reminds me of Evangelion. With the weird giant robots out to destroy humanity, and the boy who is the only one who can pilot the other giant robot to fight them. Of course there are many differences as well. I am still very confused by RahXephon, and keep feeling like I missed watching an entire episode somewhere; things just seem to randomly jump around. So it's still on probation, but I'll probably keep watching.
Fruits Basket is a delight, as expected. A bit less awesome than Kare Kano -- meaning I'm not quite so desperate to own the series -- but lots of fun.
On my own, I've been trying catch up with PLANETES. It's a well-made show and amusing, but not really gripping nor highly addictive. Quite accessible though, and the characters are very well-developed and the storylines are well-written and put together.
Still watching Avenger, but I admit I'm starting to lose patience a bit with the pacing. Nothing really seems to happen. They just keep going from city to city, the people up whereever say some cryptic stuff, more people try to stop Layla . . . eventually they have to give us something new, some new insight into why things are the way they are. I am very big on holistic storytelling, if you will. Episodic is fine, as long as there is still some longer thread tying everything together, some gradual build up of something. Shows like Scrapped Princess and Matantei Loki Ragnarok are awesome like that. I gave up on King of Bandits Jing, even though it was cute and funny, because I wanted something bigger and deeper about what he was doing, not just going around and stealing stuff. So... yeah. I mean, the episodic stuff that goes on in Avenger is so shallow and trivial that there must be something deeper, and they've certainly shown that there is, but they aren't moving towards it at all, which is what's frustrating. Just because it's got 26 episodes doesn't mean they should take their time that much.
Also, I watched the first episode of Twin Spica. Very background introduction kind of episode, so I can't make a call, but it good quality. Almost made me cry in a lot of places. But I don't know if the story, as I've read of it elsewhere, interests me. So we shall see.
I finished Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito. No more random, low-thinking-yet-still-interesting fluff for me to watch. (It's weird, how all the shows I watch have unique and different moods associated with them. So after a long day, I think, "Hm, I feel like watching something like Yami to Boushi," and realize that nothing else in my list matches it very closely.) Anyhow, the ending was kind of strange, and sad, and confusing, and rather abrupt. But the entire show was always strange and confusing and not satisfying, so I wasn't denied something I sought, so I'm fine with it.
... Hm, almost time to watch Medieval Ninja Future. Yay for Movie Weekend. ^_^ Only, I have Glee Club tomorrow morning, and I still have a light headache from sleep deprivation, so I can't stay up and watch this morning's movies that I wanted to see, namely Finding Nemo and Chocolat. Ah well, I wasn't desperate to watch either, I suppose.

Speaking of Techers... one of my sister's friends just got her acceptance letter from Tech. Dunno if she's going to say 'yes' yet or not.
