Character Battle VI.
Sep. 1st, 2007 11:06 pmAhh, GameFAQs Character Battle, how much of my life must you waste? Didn't spend too long thinking about my entry this time -- it's not like I ever do very well anyway. More fun was to see who's up.
Less Final Fantasy than in previous ones, I think -- we're back to Kefka being the only representative for FFVI (I knew having Locke and Terra that one time was a fluke).
Both Pheonix Wright and Miles Edgeworth are there, and I'll be curious to see how they do. (Although Miles starts out against Link -- but there are groups of four and the best two move on, so he still has some chance. Miles, a random Pokémon, or the guy from Elite Beat Agents? Hm...)
Mudkip! I never knew anything about the Mudkip meme (but I do liek them) until the
manga_battle round, but I wonder if that will have an effect? Didn't help CATS much, I guess...
You know I love you Zidane, but I really don't think you have a chance against Alucard, Liquid Snake, and Ness.
Amaterasu from Okami! I need to play that game... maybe. ("Maybe" only because it's really not my genre and I'd probably get stuck and give up the way I did Ocarina of Time.)
Isaac from Golden Sun... man, he was such a dork, but I'm curious how popular the game itself was...
Vivi. Perhaps the only FFIX character people actually kind of remember.
Laharl... I forgot how well he did last time. But surely both he and Kirby can beat out a Tetris block? (Then again, I can't underestimate the novelty value of the Tetris block. But L-blocks are so annoying!)
The Prince! Though I think the people I've sampled would lead one to believe Katamari is a lot more popular than it actually is.
In the end, it's hard to think it won't be down to the usual suspects -- Link, Cloud, Sephiroth, Mario -- though they did seed them all in the first four divisions so at least two of the final four will be new. Who? I couldn't even begin to say. Aeris? Solid Snake? Balthier? Sonic? Luigi? We shall see, I suppose.
ETA: WTF? I was supposed to pick the order of the two who made it to the next round? o_O;; Well, so much for any hope of winning. (Not that I ever had any.)
