Poetry forms.

The ballad, I; I shun the world,    Its bustle and its noise, Its busy hasty rushing crowds    And bright consumer toys. Indeed, I sometimes like the old    Because it's not the new; And if you think that's strange or wrong,    I might not much like you. What Poetry Form Are You?

I think I'm too amused by all of the poems to really say whether any are accurate or not. (Well, I'm definitely not a haiku, at least.) Here's the alternative I got:

I am, of course, none other than blank verse. I don't know where I'm going, yes, quite right; And when I get there (if I ever do) I might not recognise it. So? Your point? Why should I have a destination set? I'm relatively happy as I am, And wouldn't want to be forever aimed Towards some future path or special goal. It's not to do with laziness, as such. It's just that one the whole I'd rather not Be bothered - so I drift contentedly; An underrated way of life, I find. What Poetry Form Are You?

I think any of the structured ones sound more or less on point. Heroic Couplets and Sonnet in particular. :]

Hey --

This may be weird and I hope I'm not scaring you but I found you randomly and noticed you have a lot of the same ingterests as me, especially Akuma na Eros. I'm a big fan of Mayu Shinjo and her works. I was curious ^^; would you wanna be LJ friends at all?

Ack, sorry for taking so long to respond. I had finals last week, and I flagged a bunch of stuff as "deal with later", and then forgot about it. ^^;;

Anyway, sort of my compromise with not making my journal completely friends only is to keep personal posts (mostly about law school) flocked and leave most fandom-related posts public. So I hope you understand if I'm more cautious about friending people. Not that I won't friend anyone I don't already know, but I prefer to be able to get a sense of who they are first, through their profile, entries, posts in other communities, etc.
