Jul. 19th, 2006 08:51 pmAs I've mentioned before, I have a ridiculous number of links I've been hoarding to post someday. It's part of my anxiety about posting immediate things in the LJ for fear that it will contribute to my never posting about Things That Need to Be Posted About. [My previous strategy was to say outright what these TTNtBPA were, but that didn't work, so I'm trying it the other way now.]
With no further ado...
Venus Gospel - X marriage prospects. Hilarious mocking of all major X characters, with especially loving attention paid to Subaru. ^^ I rediscovered this site today, but it's been around for a long time, considering the X fandom is rather stagnating, owing to several years of new chapter deprivation. Oldie but goodie. ^_^b
Speaking of CLAMP, I found this chart on AniDB quite . . .enlightening fucked up interesting. Of course, most of the responsibility lies solely with Tsubasa Chronicle, so it's not quite as messy as it seems. X is pretty bad, too, though. And I think the chart forgot to link it to Clamp Campus Detectives, with which it shares characters.
Speaking of AniDB -- see how I have enough links to, er, link them together? -- Gonzo will be releasing an OVA in November called Afrosamurai. The name says it all. Almost better than Snakes on a Plane. [Okay, so it doesn't link to AniDB. I discovered just now that the official site actually has English.]
And for non-animanga fans, the Google Maps Quiz is kind of amusing. They show you a satellite image of someplace, and you click where on the world map you think it is. I'm not actually sure how you're supposed to figure most of them out, though, considering I fail even at the ones with distinctive coastlines. I think the only ones I've gotten within 500 miles or so are the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and a lucky guess at the Rocky Mountains.
And last for today, the difference between "multitasking" and getting distracted. I experienced this firsthand a few days ago when I came to my computer to download drivers for my new laptop, and then ended up filling out my student loan application and posting on the mafia forums before going back to my laptop, which is currently in the living room. Then I realized that I forgot to copy Symantec onto my flash drive, and came back to my desktop, and basically repeated the process. My dad kept walking by my room and asking why I wasn't done with the laptop yet.
