elwenFor those of you who don't read Newsweek, this was on page 33 (Perspectives) of the November 20 issue:
Man, I remember how I tried to get a spot in that class every time it was offered, and never did, and how there was always a huge number of emails in the "To" field in every rejection...
Also, is Tom Mannion really a prof, or is Newsweek just being dumb?
And, is it just me, or does "bright but socially lacking" make it sound like they're talking about kindergarteners? -_-;;
[And, to qualify the subject somewhat, they actually mentioned Caltech researchers quite a bit in their article a few months back about Pluto's demotion. I dunno, I guess I still get excited when the general public gets a chance to hear about Caltech.]
