I've been trying to fix my sleep schedule, honestly I have. So last night I actually went to bed when I started to feel tired rather than pushing it and staying up. I ended up sleeping really poorly and tossing and turning. Then some stupid car alarm went off. It was the same one that woke me up yesterday afternoon. Finally it turned off. Then it went off again. Might I add that I had a headache of unknown cause at this point? Maybe it was because I was trying to find a firmer area of my neck support pillow, meaning my head was higher than I'm used to. There've been a few times when I've had really bad headaches before bed, that make me nauseous when I lie down, and in those cases sleeping on my pillow the other way around, which makes it flatter, has helped. Anyway, after the car alarm turned off the second time, I noticed that there were still blinking lights somewhere outside my window, so I gave up on sleep and went outside to investigate. The lights stopped just as I got to the front door and caught a glimpse of orange-yellow from around the curve of the street, so I still don't know what they were. Didn't seem like they were from an emergency vehicle, which is what I suspected at first.

So originally I was just going to take some Tylenol and watch an episode of Aria, which was made for times like these [I see you scoffing, [livejournal.com profile] smamole], and go back to bed, but then I made the mistake of checking email, which let to LJ, and . . . well, you know how it goes. Looks like my sleep schedule is beyond repair for another day anyhow. *sigh*

Yeah, I wake up tired everyday. I don't get along with light and such. I guess I am so used to a 28 hour day, the whole 24 hour thing just feels wierd. I wake up at 10, am tired until 2. Then I am wired for 12 hours. Wierd... Anyhow, just be glad you don't have bigger things to worry about:P

Wow... I'm having the exact same problems with my sleep schedule, but the problem is that I'm doing on-campus summer research. I'm giving myself a pay raise by working only afternoons instead of the 9-to-5 they're expecting from me... I would honestly work the 8 hr day, but I just can't get myself out of bed before 11 AM or even noon anymore.

I'm trying to shape up, but last night didn't help. I was awake until 6 AM, tossing and turning, for no reason at all. I guess this is what I get for letting my sleep schedule fall apart last quarter.

Good luck getting your circadian cycle to line up with the sun's again. As far as I know, I'm decidedly nocturnal and always have been, so I think I'm pretty much hopeless.
