Sep. 28th, 2004 02:44 pmMy schedule:
Ch21a - Physical Chemistry
ChE103a - Transport
ESE148a - Global Environmental Science: Climate Change
ESE/Ch/Ge175a - Environmental Organic Chemistry
L108a - Advanced Japanese
PE50 - Badminton
I sure look like an environmental chemical engineer. Wonder what I'm supposed to do with that.
It still seems wussy no matter how I look at it. 49 units isn't a bad number, but I'm not taking ACM95. 21 and 103 are supposed to be nasty, but I didn't even take the materials courses, which are probably harder than the ESEs.
In the end, MS115 wasn't rescheduled. I know a few senior chem majors in Ch120/MS131, but the other junior said she was going to take it next year, and I've convinced her to take 175 with me. [That was unintentional. I was just saying it's a neat class.] Someone who took it last year said it's an easy A, so I feel guilty not taking a deadlier elective. [This will be amended next term if I take EE51.]
The climate change textbook still seems disturbingly math-y, but the lecture yesterday was really interesting, so I think I'll stick with it.
My schedule is hell on any attempts to cultivate study groups, but it's kind of nice to have different faces in each class. 148 seems to be mostly geology type majors (which includes planetary science and ESE), while 175 is more chem majors. 21 is also chem majors, but many are a year behind those in 175, course-wise if not class-wise. And of course I see all my favorite ChEs in both 21 and 103.
Oh, there are apparently only four of us in Japanese. That means half of the people who went to Japan this summer aren't continuing their studies.
Why?? :(
It kind of reminds me of Japanese 4 in high school, except worse. We ended up with 7 people, all girls, after the only guy ended up having a schedule conflict. This time it's 3 girls and 1 guy, and hopefully we'll all stick together. It's a good thing our presentations are always to the combined upper Japanese classes. We wouldn't make much of an audience for each other.
Oh yeah, and new "school is boooring" icon to replace the "summer is fun!" Pucca one. :P
[Actually, the Pucca icon was more for flicking than summer.]
