OMG!! I drank a cup of black tea yesterday morning, and it kept me up until 2am! D:
(And now that I take the train to work, I have to get up up at like 7am if not earlier.)
I haven't been touching caffeine very much since we finished the really grueling part of our case in April. A can of coke once or twice, and an inch of coffee in my mug on some days, like when we were doing depositions. But that's about it.
My schedule is much more regular now and I'd been getting more sleep, so even though I'd feel sleepy at work and sometimes zonk out, I didn't think caffeine should be the answer. I just need to learn how to stay awake all day again, on my own. But I've been bad and going to bed later and later this week, and have been feeling pressured to get stuff done, so yesterday I figured some caffeine would ensure I stayed attentive and productive all day. I think that part of it worked okay, but then I was totally out of it today, unsurprisingly. And I didn't dare have tea again.
I knew if I drink milk tea after noon, I won't be able to sleep before 4am. But this? Is black tea supposed to be that strong???
