Aria licensed!
May. 1st, 2008 04:11 pmHere's another one for you,
jyasu:
RightStuf has licensed Aria and will be releasing the first season as a sub-only boxset. (No details yet on the later seasons or the OVA.)
First Marimite, and now Aria? RightStuf is on a roll.
It's funny, because just yesterday I was thinking about how Marimite and Aria are kind of similar in their lack of conflict. Marimite is not completely conflict-free, since individual characters experience a lot of internal conflict and self-doubt, but it's just so different from the kind of competitiveness you see in shounen series or the open antagonism in most shoujo. It really gives the shows a soothing, ethereal feel.
Man, I'm really going to have to increase my anime budget in the next few months to deal with all these upcoming releases. [There's Geass, too.]
