I'm not sure why I'm still watching Izumo -Takeki Tsurugi no Senki-. It's kind of like Fushigi Yuugi with the genders flipped -- and thus a less cruel but still extremely manipulative leader of the bad guys. I don't think there's anything at all that's original about the plot, but for some reason it's interesting to watch.
Instinct tells me it would be pretty MST-able if watched in a group. Like the fact that Kitagawa wandered out in the middle of the night and exposed a town under broad daylight when she broke the mirror stone.
There may possibly be something interesting going on with Takeshi, in the way he's so pissed off at Takeru and yet when he's troubled about whether to fight he questions what Takeru would do. Or this could just be inconsistency on the part of the scriptwriters.
I really should just drop the series. ^^;; Considering the fansubs are a choice between the group with crappy encodes and the group with crappy translations. [And I mean really obviously crappy translations like the inability to recognize names, and leaving out entire sentences. But maybe I shouldn't blame them. I still don't know the characters' names either.] But it's kind of like the Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito fluff. Beh, all these silly little series based on H games. At least it's only 13 episodes.
