elwenFlyback week is over. I spent it doing a whole two callbacks and being sick. But I guess it was good. [Plus now I'm relatively caught up for a few anime series that will be ending in the next week or two, which means I might actually finish this season's shows . . . this season. ZOMG, what a concept.]
Today was like the first day of classes all over again: not being used to waking up early, not quite remembering where and when all your classes are, requiring multiple tries to open your locker. Then again, I guess I had it better than the rest of the school, for which it was the first day of classes.
I signed up for choir, woo! We're singing Poulenc's Gloria, which is a pretty strange-sounding piece written in 1959 -- it's one of those pieces where singing it right makes you sound like you're wrong. [Not that I sang it right much tonight, so I guess it doesn't matter.] Just the choral sound, though, already is lovely -- I guess I really did miss choir.
Also, the choirs and orchestra are going on tour next summer in China. It sounds really awesome, and it seems like it'd be a great opportunity for me to make up for the family trip I missed while I was in Japan. Now the question is whether a law firm will let me disappear for two weeks in the middle of the summer...
So now, with choir, almost all of my days are full. I guess that's the price I pay for having Fridays off. [And once I accept an offer and/or finish callbacks, I may actually be able to take advantage of those! *sigh*] I guess it forces me to stay in the library and do work (when Courseworks isn't down and I can actually access my problem sets, at least), and it means I'll always be going home at a time when traffic isn't killer.
Okay, well, I bet this entry makes it obvious that it's been a long day, so I'm going to go to bed now and try not to use my 9:30-11:15 morning slot as naptime instead of study time. D:
